Commercial Structure Fire at Chipotle

In the early morning hours of December 22nd, Company 11 units were dispatched for a commercial structure fire in box 1123, Chipotle Grill on Sudley Road, with smoke reported in the building. Upon arrival, no signs of fire were evident but when the truck and wagon crews entered from the rear employee door they found a light haze in the kitchen. Further search of the restaurant found additional smoke and heat coming from a storage room in the dining area. There was a small fire smoldering that the truck attempted to put out with a water can. As debris was hooked and pulled out, the fire grew which proved to be too much for just the water can. A hand line from W511 was pulled and quickly extinguished what was left. All units were then placed in service except for the Wagon and Truck 511 to assist the FM with his investigation.
