Interstate 66 vehicle fire

E511B was dispatched in the late afternoon hours for a vehicle fire on Interstate 66. While responding, Prince William communications reported multiple calls for a fully involved vehicle fire. E511B arrived on scene, confirmed all occupants were out of the vehicle and prepared to extinguish the fire. Driver Operator Tarte charged the 1 3/4 line that FF Waugh had flaked out. An initial knock on the fire was conducted. After the knock down of the outside fire was complete, the engine compartment hood was 'butterflied' and complete extinguishment of the fire was done.
