At 1254 on Saturday crews from Company 11 were dispatched to an ALS auto accident in the area of James Madison Highway and Logmill Rd. Crews that were operating on a previous accident involving a triple fly out were redirected and first on the scene of the accident reporting three vehicles involved with entrapment. Battalion 603 (Mezenwerth) took command of the incident and assigned E607 and R504 to the extrication as M603 and M607 attended to the patients. When they arrived on the scene T511 was tasked with assisting in the extrication while E511 was assigned as the LZ pumper to fly out the most serious patient. With three helicopters already being utilized at the other accident, a helicopter from Fredericksburg was requested. A511B was assigned to a BLS patient whom they transported with minor injuries. All crews did a great job working together and the incident was cleared very quickly.
