A few years ago, SJVFD discovered there was an interest in volunteering time to the department from members of the community who were not interested in becoming firefighters or EMTs. From this, the department launched its Administrative Member Program. Since then, Stonewall Jackson Volunteer Fire & Rescue has welcomed a number of Administrative Members to the ranks. These members provide support to the department through a number of activities including recruiting, fund raising and data entry just to mention a few. Most importantly, SJVFD recognizes that members of the community have a wealth of knowledge and ideas that can benefit the station.
