After a slow Memorial Day, E511 was dispatched to Nokeville's (25 Box) first due along with E501, TWR525, RS504, E504, A525, BC504 and BC501 to 8699 Wellington Road at 15:50. This was a structure fire in a reported abandoned dwelling. E501 was 1st on scene laying 400' of 4" supply line in the street and reported fire showing side A (front) and side B (left side) at 15:57. E511 took 2nd due assignment, connected to the hydrant and supplied E501. BC504 marked up on scene and took command. The three man crew from E511 made entry on the 1st floor along with E501's crew to knock down the fire and conduct a primary search. Although this was a reported abandoned structure, it is not uncommon to have homeless persons inhabiting these structures. E511 assisted E501 with hose lines to the basement as crew members from E501 reported fire in the basement. E511 crews exited the structure and were then assigned to side B (left side) to assist with hot spots and overhaul. TWR525 crew conducted a secondary search and no occupants were found. Fire was reported out and overhauled at 16:32. FM523 and FM525 are investigating from the fire marshals office as the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
