| At 1733 E511B and A511 were dispatched to Box 1167 for an auto accident at the intersection of Sudley Road and Gum Springs Road. Before units left quarters, M511 was added. Moments later Communications advised E511B that entrapment was reported and an extrication complement was being dispatched. E511B and A511 arrived on the scene to find a T-bone accident with one ALS and two BLS patients in two vehicles. E511B's officer confirmed one patient trapped and established Gum Springs Command, requesting an additional basic unit. A511 split its crew to handle the two BLS patients while M511 began assessment on the trapped ALS patient. BC501V (Bird) arrived and E511B's Officer passed command. RS504 arrived on scene and rolled the passenger door, freeing the trapped patient as A511 removed the driver. M511 continued their assessment and requested a helicopter. E515B was dispatched to establish a landing zone in the Manassas Battlefield. Helicopter MedStar 1 was dispatched. As crews from E511B and RS504 began packaging the third patient, A511 advised their patient was complaining of abdominal injuries and M504 was requested to rendezvous with A511 en route to the hospital. A507C arrived and received the fully-packaged 3rd patient for transport to Prince William ER. M511 transported their patient to the LZ where care was transferred to MedStar 1. All units were clear at 1844. |
