Concession Stand Fire

At 0243, W511 was dispatched for a first due "Commercial Fire" at Ben Lomond Park Drive in the Sudley area. While in route, W511 was advised that the concession stand for the lower soccer fields at Ben Lomond Park was on fire. W511 arrived on the scene to find the concession stand fully involved, endangering the adjacent storage shed. W511 quickly deployed a 1 3/4" handline to protect the shed and to knock down the bulk of the fire. W508 arrived next and stretched a second 1 3/4" line to help extinguish the blaze. Although the concession stand was a total loss, the quick actions of W511 saved the equipment shed and all contents within. W511 remained on the scene until 0430 assisting the Fire Marshall investigation.
