Chief Tom Wood Retires from SJVFD and RS after over 25 years of service

Yesterday, Chief Wood retired after over 25 years of dedication, service, and sacrifice to the citizens of Prince William County. Below is the text of Chief Wood's send off message from the county, delivered by Communications, KIW334:

"Attention all stations. It is a great pleasure to announce that as of 1800 on this date, after more than 25 years of service to Prince William County, Chief Thomas Wood is signing off as Battalion Chief 501, ending his illustrious career. Chief Wood, on behalf of the residents, Public Safety brothers and sisters in the county, we thank you for your years of service and leadership. We wish you well in your retirement. Hit ‘em straight. Prince William clear, 1531 hours."

From all members of SJVFD & RS, we'll miss you, but the family needs you more, you've earned the rest and relaxation!!
