Rolling Thunder

At approximately 0800 on Sunday morning Engine 511B and Truck 511 of staged at the Groveton Road overpass to participate in the annual Rolling Thunder event. Rolling Thunder is a United States advocacy group that seeks to bring full accountability for prisoners of war (POWs) and missing in action (MIA) service members of all U.S. wars.

In preparation for the event Company 11 provided support to observers by closing off half of the overpass to ensure the safety of the observers and supporters. Company 11 also showed support for the event by keeping emergency response lights active and on occasion sounding sirens and horns as a portion of an estimated 350,000 motorcyclists headed to Arlington Memorial Bridge to show their respects for out nations fallen service men and women.
